About Assessments

What does an assessment involve?

Each type of assessment may involve a slightly different process. However, in general we will discuss the purpose of the assessment and what will happen with your information before we begin.

Briefly, we will complete a comprehensive interview to get to know you and what is important. If provided and relevant, we will complete a detailed review of any available information. Some assessments may involve the completion of tools. These tools are not designed to trick you, but to help provide a clearer picture. Finally, we will write a report with our findings.

Where do the reports go?

At the end of our assessment, we will write the findings into a report. These reports are generally sent to the person that made the referral. The referrer could be you, a family member or guardian, or a legal representative.

For forensic matters, these reports can be tendered in the Local, District, and Supreme Courts, as well as Tribunals including the Mental Health Review Tribunal (MHRT).

How much do assessments cost?

We believe in providing affordable services for clients / patients with competitive fees. Assessment fees vary depending on the question you seek to answer and the purpose of the report.
