Professional Development
We offer a range of workshops and lectures to assist with your continued professional development.

Working with people with an Intellectual Disability (ID or IDD)
Some people have lower functioning and/or intellectual disability which affects how they understand, communicate, and engage in therapy. This program builds therapist skills to adapt assessment, communication, and intervention approaches, supporting effective, respectful, and person-centred practice with people with intellectual disability across a range of support needs.

Trauma informed care
Sometimes, people experience serious events that affect how they feel, think, and behave. This program builds therapist skills to have open and safe conversations, provide initial and ongoing support, work collaboratively with the person, and identify when referral is needed following a traumatic experience.

Self-regulation for problematic sexualised behaviours
At times, people may display sexualised behaviours that place themselves or others at risk, including online offending. This program builds therapist skills to assess and respond to problematic sexualised behaviours, including sexual offending and online abuse material, with modules for high-functioning individuals and people with moderate intellectual disabilities.
